💻 Master LinkedIn content creation without design experience ✅

Plus all the latest news and insights from Wondrous HQ

Hi there,

How was your September?

It was a jam-packed month at Wondrous with exciting client projects, our new product launch, Propel, and an Agency Walk and Talk event I co-hosted around the stunning Clent Hills. More on these updates coming up in the newsletter!

Ben and I have just returned from a long-weekend in Bruges. With tech never far from our minds, we tried a self-guided walking tour using the Questo app. Questo is a platform for gamified social experiences that help you spend great time with your friends and family by playing games in the real world. This was a great way to see the city at our own pace, answering clues and learning some history along the way.

Beautiful Bruges!

Looking ahead, I’m excited to attend Birmingham Tech Week this month, where I'll be connecting with industry leaders and sharing discussions about the latest innovations in tech marketing. Are you going too? Let me know if I’ll see you there.

Latest Happenings at Wondrous HQ

You may remember my exclusive announcement for subscribers last month about our new product launch: Propel.

When we took a step back to review how we work with clients, we identified a way to streamline our creative services to make them more accessible and easier to navigate for businesses.

With this new offering, you can access our full range of creative services (from graphic design and motion graphics to landing page development and beyond) all through a flexible monthly subscription.

Propel brings together the usual expertise of our team across branding, digital, design, animation, and web, ensuring top-tier creative support whenever you need it - just with a shiny new name!

At the end of September I jointly hosted the first ever Agency Founder Walk & Talk - Midlands with Dan Archer from Cactus.

It was great to meet many new faces from the local agency scene. I believe in collaboration rather than competition and it was great to learn more about what other agencies in our region are up to and to chat about current challenges faced by us all.

We finished up with a huge three course lunch at a local country pub where the conversation continued. We look forward to hosting a follow up event in the Spring.

Enjoying good company and good weather on the Clent Hills

No design experience? No problem.

If you’ve suddenly found yourself in charge of managing your company’s LinkedIn page and feel out of your depth, don’t worry, you’re not alone! A lot of people are handed this responsibility without design experience, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create eye-catching, effective content.

With a few simple tips and the right tools, you can easily make posts that grab attention and drive engagement.

With these seven practical tips, you can create posts that stand out, build brand recognition, and engage your audience:

1️⃣ Start with your brand guidelines

Your brand guidelines should give you a clear direction on how your posts should look. No LinkedIn-specific guidance? No worries - just check out your company’s recent posts for inspiration.

2️⃣ Research

Which companies’ LinkedIn posts grab your attention? Study their design, tone, and layout, then adapt those elements to fit your brand’s style.

3️⃣ Use design tools

Tools like Canva and Figma are your new best friends. Both are free and packed with templates to help you create professional-looking visuals in no time.

4️⃣ Consistency is key

Keep a consistent look across your posts—whether you’re announcing events or welcoming new hires. Create templates using your brand’s colours and fonts to maintain a cohesive visual style.

5️⃣ Keep it simple

Bold headlines, minimal text. Remember, LinkedIn users scroll fast. Get your message across with eye-catching simplicity, and leave the details for the post caption.

6️⃣ Prioritise legibility

Make sure your fonts are easy to read on both desktop and mobile. Stick to bold, clear text that draws attention.

7️⃣ Include a CTA

Every post should guide your audience. Whether you want them to visit your website, read an article, or sign up for an event, make sure there’s a strong call-to-action.

I shared a post on this recently on LinkedIn. Check it out and see what other tips were shared in the comments.

Managing your company page doesn’t have to be overwhelming! By following these tips, you’ll create content that not only looks professional but also boosts engagement.
