☀️ The first Wondrous newsletter 👀
Including fintech marketing tips and behind-the-scenes at Wondrous.
Hey there,
It’s Sally here from Wondrous, the agency that guides fintechs to new depths.
Today I’m exploring uncharted territory myself with the launch of our newsletter. In the absence of a periscope or a working set of binoculars, my best chance of finding my way is with your help. If you have any feedback it’d be great to hear from you. Please reply directly to this email!
And if you’d rather not receive it (I’ll be sending it every month), that’s okay too. You can unsubscribe by hitting the button below, no hard feelings:
Today I’ll be looking at how to better use LinkedIn as a Fintech leader, what it’s like to work with Wondrous and sharing a pic of me with some new friends (and surrounded by too much wine!).
Happy reading!
LinkedIn for Fintech Leaders.
Whether you use LinkedIn regularly or can’t stand it (or perhaps both?), it’s undeniably important for Fintech leaders and marketers.
That’s not just a baseless assumption, either. Our Marketing Landscape Survey of B2B Fintech marketers revealed that 77% of fintechs get leads from LinkedIn, and over half have a strategy for social selling.
Here are our five C’s for getting the most out of it:
Credentials - LinkedIn is probably the nearest thing you’ll get to a public-facing CV.
Connections - quality over quantity.
Comments - they’re way more important than you think.
Content - be compelling, authentic and intentional.
Contact - the best conversations happen in the DMs.
If you want to read more, we’ve put together a whole article about this. Read it here.
Working With Wondrous.
It’s always nice to hear from our happy clients, but it’s even nicer when they agree to come on video and talk about their experience.
In this lovely little clip, Shaun O’Keeffe from Zero Hash talks about how working with Wondrous made his life easier.
Out and About.
I try not to take seeing people face-to-face for granted. There’s nothing quite like getting away from your screen and meeting industry contacts and other agency founders in person.
In March, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a group of fellow agency founders based in and around Birmingham, many of whom I was meeting for the first time.

We had a fantastic evening and here’s a pic from it - 10 points if you can spot me!
My Update on Wondrous.
The big news from Wondrous HQ is our recent work with local colleges and universities, which has sparked two exciting developments!
Firstly, we’ve taken on a T-Level student for one day a week. Meet Sam! He’s an incredible artist who has an interest in project management and business - a perfect fit for us.

Sam looking suave.
Secondly, Steph, our Motion Graphics Lead, has been working with second year illustration students at BCU with live briefs as part of their coursework. We’ve seen some fantastic submissions! 😍
Hopefully I’ll see you back here next month, where we’ll be looking at more Fintech tips and insights, as well as some behind the scenes stuff.
If you’ve enjoyed this email, please take a moment to let me know by replying to this email. Your feedback will really help to shape the direction of the newsletter!
See you soon (hopefully in person!),
